Dont you think a Super Top Up large cover is more useful which covers all type of critical illnesses rather than only cancer..Also how much cover can a person buy? He needs to have enough money to buy a base policy, a critical policy or a top up

My one friend’s wife was diagnosed with breast (one breast) cancer around 9 years back. She underwent mastectomy (breast removal surgery) and chemotherapy as per doctor’s advice. Now it is over 9 years, and she is undergoing regular medical check-up and there is nothing wrong in the earlier detected and treated breast cancer but there is no symptom of any other type of cancer in any other part of the body.
Can she now get health insurance coverage (age 57 years) – with cancer coverage or even without cancer coverage, just normal health insurance coverage.

Super Top up plan is more useful but you need to spend extra on buying Top Up. However, most of the people are not aware of top up plan. Most of the people buy normal health insurance where coverage is very less.

Yes she can go for health insurance coverage. However, you need to check exclusion conditions about existing diseases.
