Before discussing detail about mobile app I would like to share key features of Sukanya Samriddhi scheme.
Key Features of Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme –
- A legal guardian can open this account in name of girl child. Only one account can be opened on the name of one girl child.
- Current rate of interest applicable on this scheme is 9.2% per annum (w.e.f 1-4-2015). This interest will be compounded and calculated on yearly basis.
- For Financial year minimum 1000 Rs/- and maximum 1.5 Lac deposit is allowed in this account. Deposit can be made in lump sum any time in year.
- Account can be opened up to age of 10 years only from the date of birth. For initial operations of scheme, one year grace has been given. With the grace, Girl child who is born between 2-12-2003 & 1-12-2004 can open account up to 1-12-2015.
- One need to deposit money up to 14 years from date of opening this account. This account can be closed after completion of 21 years.
- If account is not closed after maturity, balance will continue to earn interest as specified for the scheme from time to time.
- Normal premature closer will be allowed after completion of 18 years. Provided that girl child is married.

You can download Sukanya Samriddhi Andriod Mobile app from Google Play. This app is very small in size 2.3 Mb. This app is developed by Nembooli Soft Finance. Key feature of this app is given below.
Plan Detail –
First tab given in this app is Plan. On clicking on plan it will display input fields asking about amount and interest. Once you are done with inputting this details you need to click on generate button.
Once you click on generate button this application will display spread sheet containing information about year on year interest calculated and closing account balance at the end of maturity.
Monthly Calculator –
Second tab given in this app is monthly calculator. If you are ready to deposit amount monthly in SSA account this calculator is for you. It will help you to know maturity amount of Sukanya Smariddhi Account for monthly deposit.
On clicking on this tab it will display input fields asking about amount and interest. Once you are done with inputting this details you need to click on generate button.
Once you click on generate button it will display monthly spread sheet containing information about interest.
Yearly Calculator –
Third tab in this app is yearly calculator. This calculator is for yearly amount depositor in SSA account. This tab will help you to calculate maturity amount for yearly money deposit.
