Before Buying Diamond

1)      Shape:-

Diamond is available in various shapes round, square, princess, radiant etc. Shape is visible factor of diamond and based on shape diamond attributes varies.

Shape selection is matter of personal taste.

2)      Color:-

Diamonds are graded based on the presence or absence of color. Diamonds with less color have a better grade and will display more colorful fire. A diamond with a color grade of D, E, or F is regarded as colorless. Color grades of G, H, I, and J are considered near-colorless, and can offer excellent values.

Prefer Colorless Diamond.

3)      Cut:-

Cut of Diamond determines its fire and brilliance. Cut grade is established by defining the relationship between a diamond’s light performance, dimensions, and finish. Even with exceptional color and clarity, if a diamond is poorly cut, it will look dull. Choose a good, very good, or ideal cut grade.

Remember better a diamond is cut, the more sparkle it will have.

4)      Clarity:-

Clarity means purity of Diamond. Diamonds with flawless clarity are rare and expensive, a diamond with no flaws visible to the unaided eye, referred to as eye-clean, can offer outstanding value without sacrificing brilliance.

Ask the jeweler about the clarity of any diamond you consider purchasing. A reputable jeweler will be honest about a stone’s grade and will answer any questions about what that grade means.

Choose VS1 or VS2 grades or better.

5)      Carat Weight:-

Carat is a measure of weight, not size. The more carats a diamond has, the more expensive it will be. This does not affect the quality of the stone in any way, so a heavier weight does not necessarily indicate a higher quality stone.

6)      Certification:-

Another step is to ensure your diamond is certified. A diamond certificate is proof that a diamond has been analyzed by an unbiased team of gemologists. All certified diamonds are graded based on the four Cs: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight.

Remember all points given above before buying Diamond.
