How to Check Update Bank Account number EPF UAN Account?

Change Update Bank account number EPF UAN Account – EPF withdrawal is allowed under many cases. You can even apply for withdrawal from EPF account due to Covid-19 outbreak. Yes! As per the new EPF rule, EPF subscribers can withdraw 75% of your EPF balance or three-month wages whichever is lower. This withdrawal is non-refundable in nature. It is also known as advance EPF withdrawal.

However, it is mandatory to update bank account number in unified member portal – UAN account. If you have applied for EPF withdrawal claim due to COVID 19 outbreak and you are not getting settlement wrong or No Bank Account number in UAN account could be one of the reason.

The EPFO has asked EPF subscribers to check or verify bank account number seeded in UAN account online. The message says “Incorrect details seeded with UAN?” – Incorrect details lead to failure of credit of EPF amount update Bank Account Number and IFSC immediately for credit of EPF accumulation under COVID-19 pandemic withdrawal claims.

Here is step by step method to check and update Bank account number and IFSC number at EPF UAN account online.

Prerequisites for EPF Claim Withdrawal

Prerequisites for EPF claim withdrawal are given below.

  • UAN number should be known to you and it should be activated.
  • Your Aadhaar Number should be linked with UAN number.
  • UAN should be KYC complaint.
  • Your Aadhaar Number should be linked with Mobile number.
  • Bank Account number and IFSC code should be seeded with UAN.

How to Check Bank Account Number EPF UAN Account? 

Visit https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface and sign in to your account. You need to use your UAN number and password to sign in.

Once you are logged in you will be able to see menu containing various tabs. You will also able to see Member profile in the right hand side. Here you will find information such as Aadhaar Number, PAN as well as bank account number. Make sure account number is correct.

Now click on Manage >> KYC

You will be able to see new webpage with three sections Add KYC, KYC pending for approval and digitally approved KYC.

Under digitally approved KYC section you will be able to see bank account details. (Bank Account number and IFSC code).  If bank account number and IFSC code is correct your claim will be settled and amount will be credited in your bank account. In case bank account mention here is incorrect you need to update it. Follow the method given below to update your bank account number and IFSC code in UAN account online.

How to Update Bank Account Number EPF UAN Account Online?  

Step 1 – Sign in into your EPF UAN account on  –

https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

Step 2 – From the top navigation menu select the KYC option under the Manage Tab.

Step 3 – You will be able to see several rows for different types of KYC documents.

The first row is for bank account. Here you need to enter the bank account number, name as per bank account and IFSC code.

You can find account number and IFSC code in your bank passbook. Alternatively, you can find bank account number and IFSC code on cheque also.

After entering all the details about bank account press the save button.

Step 4 –  The bank account detail will not be updated immediately. Firstly, detail will come in KYC pending approval list. Your employer needs to approve KYC detail. Once detail is approved by your employer you will be able to see detail in Digitally approved KYC section.

Typically, it takes 7-10 days for the approval of Bank account KYC from employer.
